I was so tired today and this was just what i needed. Some calm mumblecore, a day in the life vibes shot on film.

0 cringe dialogue and all the teenagers here were actually likeable. They all had a personality to them. I liked Amanda quite a bit, super traditional and eagle eyed, added a good conflict to things. I get why Jehovah's Witnesses do what they do but i do think its too much. Not celebrating birthdays? Cmon.

Loved how this had 0 dialogue and relied on you to interpret things. My god the part where the cat was surrounded by fishes..BEAUTIFUL

How this was all done in Blender astounds me, the animation style is so unique and beautiful. AND THE SCORE! what gives me an excuse not to just start making something?

It reminds me of Life of Pi, how their stuck on a boat with animals, trying to survive & its fantastical. Esp the bird is taken by the sky..i love the music and the art there. Very calm watch, overall 4/5!

    uhmmm...yeah dont say that..

I didnt feel anything here. Everyone is so invulnerable even there are times when it should cost them something. They go through every scenario unscathed and I cannot feel the stakes if their goals arent achieved. The mom should lose something in herself every time she gave smth to the duck. Whether it's a body part or some blood or SOMETHING. She cant be fine all the way through, it doesnt depict…

    When We Danced

    ★★½

I liked the first part where it had no dialogue and told its story through set design, costumes, and with a bit of voiceovers. But I felt the opening scene was too energetic for the second part wherein they're teaching their grandson how to dance, resulting in it feeling like 2 separate films. The acting also felt...very different from the opening scene because here they were talking like...American narrators wherein sa opening they spoke in Filipino..idk man
