Current Bond era: Moore
There's a couple fun performances, some cool sets, some legitimately stunning babes, at least one actually fun fight scene, and some great location work. Unfortunately that's all overshadowed by Sheriff JW Pepper, and the fucking slide whistle. Also the funhouse corridor is dumb. Scaramanga himself dies like a chump

Wild movie. Simultaneously over the top and low-key (for a Bond movie). The plot is a very un-Bond-like drug trafficking story, and to be honest, it's insane how little plot this movie actually has. They have this weird mysticism angle with Solitaire that doesn't seem to actually matter, or even really good anywhere? And maybe I missed something, but it didn't (to me) end up being nearly as racist as I was expecting it to be…
I laughed so hard I almost threw up like two or three times.
I had to pause the movie after about half an hour and was genuinely surprised that I still had over an hour to go, felt like I had already watched an entire movie. That's a compliment, because it's so dense and wacky it felt like an entire movie's worth.
Cannot stress enough- really funny and good. By the end of the movie, my face hurt from smiling so much.
