Princess Mononoke 1997
This movie is one of the greatest man vs nature stories, it holds me captive in its mature themes and nuance it displays to the two sides of conflict of the film. It is epic in every sense, touching shoulders with any other epic fantasy film such as the Lord of the Rings. It has endless depth in its narrative and I cannot imagine it ever being knocked off the top spot of my film preferences.

This movie is an incomprehensible modern Oddysey. It sits in this weird realm between confusing copyright laws, nerdish nitpicking and convoluted worldbuilding from marvel films prior.

I, like many, am a huge fan of Paddington 1 and 2. And so, finding out that Paul King would not be directing Paddington in Peru my expectations were set at a reasonable level.
Paddington in Peru is good, but not great. It follows a lot of the Paddington movie tropes set by its predecessors; scenery-chewing character actors, Paddington being a clumsy bear, marmalade, you know. It is fun.
