Makes you sob, and then a little more, and then more. Love how the narrative takes on red-pill mentality and the manosphere without sensationalising the 13-year-old's rage. The titular adolescent Jamie is not some muscular Tate worshipping gymbro, rather he's just a kid insecure about his masculinity. But how the Tate ideology can appeal to such young social media users is indeed what's scary, a truth that Adolescence addresses without offering any preachy answers. Sadly, the problem is so timely…

The Electric State 2025
Despite being a post-MCU Russo film, despite featuring "almost AI-generated" performers like Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown, despite taking a deeply grim dystopian graphic novel and turning it into a light-hearted kid's film...I was pleasantly surprised. It spoonfeeds the audience, dumbs down robotics, and has its fair share of dad-jokes but yet The Electric State is wild fun. Reccomend it for a light-hearted watch to make you feel like a kid again. For a 2000s kid like me, it reminded of the likes of Zathura and Race to Witch Mountain.
