Bong Joon Ho’s metaphor is always heavy-handed (see The Host, Snowpiercer, and Parasite), but it is equally sharp. Unfortunately, this movie is dull. The engaging half-thoughts are quickly cast aside so Mark Ruffalo can lazily mock Trump and Robert Pattinson can babble.
