Absolutely a comedy but still so eriee, so moody. Surrealist nightmare void running on utterly no sleep and scummy New York ambience, it’s just one crazy night. Dick Miller casually drops the title, Scorsese literally shines a light in your face and it ends on a Looney Tunes gag. Tonight, Paul Hackett just can’t hack it.

Believe me when I tell you that I genuinely feel this movie’s electricity in my bones; I feel its operatic intensity screwing with my guts. Stupid, dull, evil movie made to impress stupid, dull, evil people.
Think this is a pretty neat take on zombies, and the one take shot obvs would be the biggest pain in the ass so congrats to them for pulling that off. Unfortunately after a damn good opener this waddles about for an hour and the one shot gimmick starts to feel like a hindrance on the pace as a number of scenes are literally just waiting for characters to get from point A to B.
