  One of the most heartbreaking movies that can still be classified as a comedy. It's the story of a bad breakup, and an invention that erases every memory of a person, and one patient's journey trying to reverse the effects of the operation while inside it. It has some of the most beautiful visuals in film history and the ending scene in the beach house... wow. By far Jim Carrey's best role.

  The defining work of pure science fiction in film history. This movie knows exactly what it wants to do, and it goes well. It starts with the discovery of the first tool in human evolutionary history, and jumps to mankind's furthest journey through space, all the while following a signal from an artifact found in various periods throughout time. A true masterpiece that is a wonder to look at.
