  I feel like nobody will ever criticize Folman’s ability as a director. HOWEVER.

  if you treat this film in a vacuum of a war soldier experiencing PTSD from a war he did not decide to serve in, then I say Waltz with Bashir gets a pass. it’s quite well done, actually.

  My deeper problem is that Waltz with Bashir is that it’s supposedly in the DOCUMENTARY medium. OK, you want to be a documentary and sweep every award known to…
