there were some really emotional moments i wasn’t expecting.
i liked the stakes but wish they expanded on the story. i also feel like if it was a standard 2-3 hr flick people would’ve called it too long lmao

i wanted to hate this movie. growing up a secretly a thespian, i’m very picky about musicals, let alone movie musicals. there is no musical film better than this one. it’s honestly a great study on how to execute stage to film adaptations. i’ve never felt a sense of thrill and excitement from any other musical film.
