  I love this concept. 
  Rarely do I think that a feature film could have been made better as a limited series and vice versa… this one could have been a very good limited series, to have the time to establish the plot points in depth while keeping us as the viewer connected to the story and the motive of how fucked up this system is. This, in my opinion, needs time to breathe. & In this sequel, there is little to no breathing time. 
  The first movie had its flaws, but pacing wise it worked better.
