  Solid filmmaking with a terrific original take on a classic movie monster. Immense opportunities for “show it don’t tell it” character development that is replaced with on-the-nose dialogue.

  Well… Joaquin doesn’t even try for an accent and I think I admire that. The battle scenes harken back to the 90s and the cinematography is gorgeous… but that’s about it.

  Very odd movie who’s abrasive edits are glued together by ADR. I’m still unsure why most of the characters were in the movie, so I suggest to go into it assuming a theory everyone’s dead… you might have more fun that way.
