  Mostly just a collection of loose unresolved plot threads examining well trodden ground, but pleasant enough in the moment to moment. Shudder to imagine how unwatchable this would be without its showstopping central performance.

  Nothing super crazy formally speaking, but it’s solid sturdy filmmaking with good use of its very capable performers. Did like the use of diegetic music, wish the original score was actually totally absent, more distracting than anything else, and I think more liberal use of silence would’ve built a stronger contrast from its opening scenes.
