  i was prepared to be disappointed but i really liked this one. sound design hit, visuals were really really fun— and i saw it on the plane
  i think plot/characters could have used a littttle more development though but overall good execution

  i can’t believe this was my first watch. a moving story with perturbing moments, and great character development. i felt so connected to the emotions of each character and the performances and writing were really well done

  ughhhh whyyy are we still doing the lesbian sleeps with a man trope 😭 a straight awakening movie is INSANE i fear

  bisexuality is so valid, but having a “sure” lesbian find the “one man” that makes her not a lesbian is not something we need. she could have just been a bi queen interested in everyone. the dick sex scene made me want to scream. 

  it’s actually insane how lesbophobic people are and it’s exhausting to have media like…

  i just…… so much to say about SO LITTLE. 
  this movie was like if you’re a white man and have all the audacity and none of the critical thinking skills to hire women and queer people on your writing staff about a movie that was meant to depict men as “horror”
  like—yes… and?
  where was the depth?
  why was the main abusive husband black??????
  why was there literally one woman the whole move?
  so the moral is that women are just supposed to endure this abuse forever and ever? as if we don’t already know the leeching depth of the patriarchy
