    Very poetic, heartbreaking, and inspiring all at the same time. It’s hard to imagine what goes through someone’s mind when they’re locked-in (the syndrome not like in the zone), but this movie does an excellent job of putting viewers inside that mind. The opening and closing fifteen minutes are particularly jarring. There’s terrific writing and mostly terrific camera work that really make you feel like you’re sharing the same condition. And the fact that it’s all a true story makes it that much more amazing.
