  Still don’t love the main “bad-guy” plot itself, but the origin-story part is sooo good. Also I think I can appreciate the vibe switch between this movie and the other two, but it will always be the black sheep of the series to me.

  I wanted to like this movie because I respect that he self-funded, experimented, and remained committed to this idea for over 40 years; but it was really just not good. The acting was honestly great for the most part, and the visuals/costumes were fun (although some of the effects were surprising bad, maybe on purpose?). But parts of the dialogue were not convincing, and I just don’t think the theme and plot really got anywhere beyond platitudes.
