Good take on the Origin story of the Air Jordan.
Stellar cast but Matt Damon and Viola Davis stole the show for me 👏🏽
A man’s introspective pursuit to hold onto what he loves and knows. However, the film teaches you we have to let go of what we used to know in order to grow and accept being in the now.
Riz Ahmed’s dedication to his performance in this film was incredible!
10/10 for original concept. However, the execution was a little off the mark for me.
Would have liked a bit more of an insight into the back story of the female antagonist’s character.
Was good to see Justin Long cast in this sort of movie and perform well, as my reference point for him is normally a teen comedy movie.
Georgina Campbell was a great lead and Bill Skarsgård’s performance was good, all be it a little short lived.
Humour felt very forced at times and this perpetual use of humour has turned the character of Thor “the son of a god”, into a bit of a gimmick.
Definitely feels like the last couple of instalments from Taika Waititi have fallen at the wayside of bringing the same moments of severity, actioned packed fight sequences and cinematic heroic moments the OG films brought.
PS - Cristian Bale’s character was totally underutilised 😭
