Some of the best fighting choreography and full fledge war scenes I’ve seen in a fantasy sci-fi genre.
The switch between color and B&W was also done beautifully. The orange look for the desert and warmish tone for interiors were done masterfully.
The cinematography takes it to another level. Combined with the sophisticated war scenes, Dennis made sure those scenes were shot in a way that you can admire its beauty, but also the horrors of war.
I recently made a short film with some friends from work. I hope I’m able to achieve this type of dedication for the craft one day.

Mannnn, this movie brought me back to a time I was not even alive in. The vibe, feel, look, and story all hit it out of the park. The casting too, what a power house of a casting.
I don’t know what it is about Spikes films and it’s feel/tone. His cinematography? The film used? The story? To me, this movie hit all of those marks.
