Missed it in theaters for the rerelease, but rewatching it was totally worth it. Hits so differently now that I’m a dad 🥹

KTS is probably one of the most underrated neo-noir mob thriller of all time. I can understand why it’s not an easy watch for some, aka slow burner type, and personally I’m not always the biggest fan of this type of storytelling either. Except when it’s powerful and thought-provoking as KTS. Also watching this take place in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis while in 2023 is hella trippy.

Love is a choice, but that choice ultimately starts with you. Relationships are hard and I’ve grown to realize that I can’t expect for my love to grow deeper, if I’m not able to love who I am.
