I don’t think this deserves all the shitting on its getting. It’s not the greatest in the world and that’s fine. It’s a bunch of the old guys making a mob picture and I’ll always have a soft spot for that.
I equated it to when my grandad would watch westerns all the time, some times they weren’t the best ones but they were still good enough for him. That’s me now, my generation is Mob movies. Fuck it, I’m…

With all the PTA excitement that happened today (with good reason), I went back to the beginning.
He finished this script in 1992, that means he was 22 years old. There’s always been the chatter of how insane it was that he made Boogie Nights as young as he was and of course Magnolia and that insane scope & spectrum of life he displays in that one. Ol’ Billy two balls is still getting better. He may be the best right now. Yeah I’m thinking so.
Lotta laughs and overall I was completely glued to what he was talking about and what was coming next. Lotta anger even though he’s becoming a better person. Nothing better than Ol’ Billy all riled up. He smacks that mic stand down at one point. Just complete control up there. Physicality is unbelievable.

To me cinema is the most gorgeous thing on earth and this film & the man I love so much thats behind it, keeps proving it to me again & again.
This is a great big geyser of love & I’m all about it. I’m in love with Paul Thomas Anderson again/still.

Also, less than 10 mins in I had tears in my eyes because of how beautiful Cooper Hoffman, son of the sweet soul of Phil Hoffman, made me feel about being in this film. Truly a remarkable and beautiful thing.
