Trainspotting 1996
Solid movie, kept me interested but not a ton of plot. I liked the characters, I liked the setting, I liked the atmosphere. Just left me wanting for a bit more of a story to stir together all those fine ingredients. Enjoyed my watch but wouldn’t rave about this one. 3/5

Damn. I almost shut this one off in the first 10 minutes as I realized what it is about, but boy I’m glad I didn’t. The subject matter is pretty heavy for Friday night movie + beer, but the story ramps up the tension right from the beginning and my knuckles were white for the entire 1:50. This movie will put you in an uncomfortable spot. It will make you think. If you’re into that sort of thing I really recommend it. If you just want to drink your beer and watch your movie in peace then maybe skip this one.
