    What a neat film. The cinematography made it feel far older than it was…at one point my partner and I literally had to google how old Robert De Niro actually was 😂 I really enjoyed that part of the film….

    However…I will say I didn’t find the storyline itself compelling…and there weren’t any characters that I wanted to root for. The main character was honestly pretty irredeemable. 

    The actors nailed their performances though! Robert De Niro was excellent!

    I actually had no idea what this movie was about going in and started off very weary due to some outdated jokes…but honestly it was excellent. 

    I really valued the lesson that therapy should be individualized and that mental health facilities (although improving) can feel like jail.
