Raging Bull 1980
What a neat film. The cinematography made it feel far older than it was…at one point my partner and I literally had to google how old Robert De Niro actually was 😂 I really enjoyed that part of the film….
However…I will say I didn’t find the storyline itself compelling…and there weren’t any characters that I wanted to root for. The main character was honestly pretty irredeemable.
The actors nailed their performances though! Robert De Niro was excellent!

Just not great honestly. The police brutality, whatever the hell the “reenactment” of the crime was with Baek, the repetitive bullying and beating of Baek…I don’t know…to me the movie didn’t age well (if it was ever good). One of the absolute most uncomfortable movies I’ve ever watched. Do I regret it? Not at all…would I watch it again? Don’t need to because it’s scarred me. Nothing about this movie was emotional easy and truly not for the faint of heart (I did NOT smile once).
