Enjoyable film that confused me half the time. The film has “Godmonster” in the title, but most of it focused on an entirely different story. Kind of weird. But that said, the aesthetic of the film, locations, characters, etc. made it bearable. Maybe I need to watch it several more times. Good movie to enjoy while having several beers.

Enjoyable grindhouse oddity with a real porn aesthetic to it, probably because it was produced by noted sexploitation director/producer Henri Pachard. I have the Code Red blu-ray and it has a real grimy look to it...I love it! The effects are pretty convincing, but the real standout for me is the soundtrack - awesome musique concrete sounds that were culled off two French library records by Cecil Leuter and Georges Teperino. Top stuff here!

Cavallone’s use of sound, random imagery (the crowing rooster!), and…

The Onetti brothers (Luciano & Nicolas) have done it again! This is the third installment in their neo-gaillo trilogy, and this one nails it with superb murder set pieces, camera work, set locations, costumes, and of course, soundtrack! If you enjoyed SONNO PROFONDO and/or FRANCESCA, you will surely love ABRAKADABRA. This film is so well crafted, it could easily be mistaken for a mid-70s film. While I am usually not a fan of neo-genre films, the Onetti brothers get it. Even…
