I'm Just Here for the Riot 2023
at its essence, this movie is just copaganda cloaked as an examination of the vancouver stanley cup riots. police are openly stating that they’re monitoring social media feeds and pictures taken by news publications and everyone in the film is just like “that’s what should happen.” too many wannabe cops, not enough discussion on the implications of surveillance (and the communities that will inevitably be affected by that surveillance). they didn’t even discuss the canucks and their franchise history! get this shit off my screen.
