a quick return to this world while reading sunrise on the reaping! as a 12 yr old i could only focus on katniss being a heroine, but as a 24 yr old i’m so much more in awe of the world that suzanne collins created—a world simultaneously different and same to ours, reflecting the blights of our society, and showing many forms of resistance to those that oppress. it’s still relevant as ever, and inspires more hope than it did back then.
