Battle Royale 2000
Watched with my metamour and partner.
There are, of course, so so many comparisons to the Hunger Games, but I think this stands well on its own without the comparisons. In my opinion, this setting benefits from the sparseness of the world-building and is uniquely unsettling.

Wow! This movie was bad! The plot was not engaging, the character dynamics were spread thin, the action sequences were over-the-top. The only good thing I can say is that the costumes were lovely and the actors did the best with what they were given.
I'm a bit of a Star Trek completionist, but I almost wish I hadn't seen this one.

Watched this at home, with my partner and metamour, on my metamour's suggestion.
I've never actually seen Groundhog Day and I think this movie was better for me not knowing this was a time loop movie tbh. I liked this a lot. I think it had a lot of interesting things to say about life and what means to be a person. Plus the acting is great. The plot never seems to take us into grim-dark territory, which I appreciated.
Overall, good movie!
