  First all silent movies are better with an orchestra 
  What really sells me here is the simplicity of the terror and how Max Shreck almost 100 years later is terrifying and unsettling. It’s one of those films that despite hearing all the beats and knowing it I could still feel myself waiting to see the next scene and how the shots are so intentional for its goal.  To scare!
