Cops frame a guy, and he's none too pleased about it.
When he gets out of jail, things escalate until everyone is flying through glass, bouncing off cars, and set on fire.

You already know if this isn't for you. And you're probably correct in assuming why.
Where this one excels is the way it keeps Robert in a state of observer and subject. Assessing things from his cage, then assimilating characteristics while escaping.
Does it all work well? It's messy to be sure, but as an exploitation jungle adventure it's both interesting and entertaining.

At a brisk 78 minutes, this ine is pretty much barrels through its plot- which is said to be an uncredited adaptation of the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon novel, and it shows.
The cast is dynamite, making it easy to wrapped up in the drama.
Thanks to the borrowed Morricone music it's another wuxia that openly flaunts its Italian western stylings.
I do wish we had a sequel, because while it does wrap up much of the plot, it leaves a couple of key threads open for more.

Funny, playful, and full of the thrilling choreography and philosophy Lau Kar-leung is known for.
It's a masterclass in camerawork, with tight framing whirling around combatants in sequences that are as funny as they are impressive.
This is easily one of the best kung-fu comedies of the era.
