  When he gets out of jail, things escalate until everyone is flying through glass, bouncing off cars, and set on fire.

  You already know if this isn't for you. And you're probably correct in assuming why.
  Where this one excels is the way it keeps Robert in a state of observer and subject. Assessing things from his cage, then assimilating characteristics while escaping.
  Does it all work well? It's messy to be sure, but as an exploitation jungle adventure it's both interesting and entertaining.

  It's a masterclass in camerawork, with tight framing whirling around combatants in sequences that are as funny as they are impressive.
  This is easily one of the best kung-fu comedies of the era.

  Tale of a woman mistreated by her sad-sack samurai husband, in situations escalating until tangled in a conspiracy involving outside parties invested in splitting them up.
  Once the ghost aspect kicks in, the melodrama is in full gear, dripping with melancholic mood.
  Tragic and beautiful. A must-see classic.
