Just a great idea with an incredible build up that was chilling on opening night

The pace and building dread really pay off in a climax made entirely of suspense

Discovered RESERVOIR DOGS about the same time and was blown away by how much could be done with so little

People like to make fun of it with Ooo Scary Rocks and, yes, scary rocks! That's the achievement!

    A rare 6 star movie

Tough to know where to start or end with this. I am to this movie as Dennis Hopper is to Col Kurtz

The voiceover: best there is. Best written, best performed, best tone setting, edited in the best. Definitive. The best part is it could work without it, just much better with it

Sheen. He’ll never top it. He’s perfect. As Coppola points out, in reference to replacing Keitel, this needed a more internal actor…

Amazed no one got killed on THIS one

Dry like white toast, delicious as 4 fried chickens. And a Coke

I’m not sure there’s another movie with quite that same attitude. Absurdist, dry and massive all at the same time

The musical pieces never fail to give me goosebumps (in lieu of having any desire to dance)

The huge stunt spectaculars both hilarious and impressive

Lots of wit, lots of charm, lots of ideas that would come from nowhere else. Hasn’t lost a step
