I like both smart and dumb movies.  I love smart dumb movies but dislike dumb smart movies.

The first time I watched this was in college at the campus cinema, and it didn’t hit quite as hard this time without a random college freshman yelling “GO ARAGORN!” during the sex scene.  I was struck by how economical this movie is though.  Didn’t dwell on his family being psychologically tortured or a long shootout scene in the end.  Just a couple of scenes of everything to get the point across and done in a tidy 90 minutes.  Respect.

Completely subjective 5 stars, I just love this movie.

Something only I care about: both the original version of There She Goes is in this movie AND a cover of it, with one of them being the opening credits score, and neither of them are on the official soundtrack.  I just don’t understand how that happens, and the financial details of the residuals would tie my brain in a knot.
