  The Bad News Bears 1976

  This is a satire, I get it.

  The opening day scene, while the local marching band plays a shitty rendition of the Star Spangled Banner and the two teams, one with uniforms sponsored by Pizza Hut and the other by a bail bonds business, stand ready waiting to play America's past-time. I get it.

  This movie is American exceptionalism.

  Mister Lonely 2007

  This movie helped me to finally understand what it is people don’t like about Harmony Korine films.

  However…

  Original picture (very, very original) with really fucking cool images, honestly, if Korine narratives aren’t your thing, some of the stills and a few select scenes are worth seeing/watching.

  -Sky diving BMX nuns
  -The Three Stooges killing sheep
  -The big play
  -Abe Fucking Lincoln
  -Egg sing-along
  -The priest and the divorced man

  There’s some others as well!

  Even if this is my least favorite of Korines, it still does contain elements of his previous and later work that I really do love.

  Dramatized

  How could it not be really? There was a review I saw entitled “Lords of Chaos: Entertaining Yet Flawed”, and that’s a perfectly great way to summerize this movie.

  This was a fucking giant piece of shit

  Everything was bad. The shot composition, script, editing, so much of it was fucking awful. People who praise Brandon’s “acting” probably praise any other actor for being just as emotionless.
