Good! Essentially a remake of the first few episodes of the original show but with a clearly bigger budget and some jawdropping visuals and action. That fight with Ramiel, which always has been one of my favorite parts, is upgraded in a very significant way here.

Pacing and storywise it’s a big faster and we already get some peeks at things that the show originally revealed way later, which makes a little of sense in the context of a film…

Kind of a big mess? I think mine and everyone’s expectations were unrealistically high after Bong dropped the masterpiece that was Parasite, but this doesn’t even feel like the same writer-director at the helm. It’s about as subtle in it’s messages and themes as a sledgehammer and the pacing is all over the damn place, dragging to the point where I kind of just wanted it to be over. Robert is fine, but Steven Yeun really steals the handful of scenes he’s in. At least it’s pretty to look at.

I think for me this movie is victim of over hype, with everyone and their mothers saying it's one of…

Batman, for various personal reasons, means so much to me and after the Nolan trilogy wrapped I've been eagerly looking forward to whatever was next in store for one of my favorite fictional characters ever.

I've been following the development and production of this new iteration since the beginning when Ben Affleck was still in the director's chair. After he dropped out and Matt Reeves, whom I knew from Cloverfield and the most recent (amazing) Planet of The Apes films…
