Woman in Gold 2015
Overall, this is a very enjoyable movie. The casting of Ryan Reynolds as the male lead, her attorney, was a mistake in my mind. The Taste of Things 2023
A symphony of the senses and a loving homage to French cuisine. The first 20 minutes allow for almost no dialogue. The sounds of sizzling and roasting surround and ignite one’s senses. The scene, a late 19th century dream kitchen is the main focus of the movie, though a few other scenes help to add context to the relationship between Juliette Binoche, the master Chef, and her employer. I will watch this again and again.
