  I really enjoyed this. Excellent performances by Pattinson, Collette and Ruffalo. I think this tonally struck the right note, leaning heavy into the goofy absurdity but not at the expense of the emotionality of Mickey and the creepers

  This nails what it feels like to be an 11 year old bored on holiday with your sad dad, but there isn’t enough narrative or tension here to hold onto. I can tell this was intensely personal for the filmmaker but imo this film is too underwritten and generic for me to take anything new or insightful away

  A revelatory showcase of what asylum seekers and political refugees must endure to find freedom. Following the experiences of these families, on both sides of the DMZ is something I think we rarely see in documentaries. It really puts plainly the power imbalances, physical and emotional distress, and risk that migrants and families of migrants go through. 

  Unfortunately, the narrative structure of the film is somewhat weak. Perhaps due to founder of the Human Rights Foundation who is a producer…
