There was a lot flawed with this but I really do love Rachel Sennott and Sam and Brook's relationship was definitely a highlight.

Absolutely one of the most visually interesting things I’ve seen in a long time and Justice Smith was so great and going from the subtle monotonous acting to some of the more extreme anguish. There was a lot here around identity and authenticity and I think thematically it really resonated in ways I haven’t felt from some other films. I did also overall find it a little messy at times too, but still really liked it.

From the beginning of First Reformed, i was immediately hooked. Both as an avid fan of Ethan Hawke's work as well as the general relationship between ecology and theology.

I really thought I'd gravitate more towards the dichotomy between despair and hope throughout the film, which i found very compelling and thoughtful, but I found the philosophy of creation even more…
