  Love a good baseball movie, but I wish this had more baseball. Some good performances but the “bad guys” in this, the ones who didn’t believe in the recruit-through-algorithm system, they were right about the algorithm. The team had no soul, and for a movie trying to be romantic about baseball it sort of celebrates the killers of the spirit of the game. Their algorithm reminds me a whole lot of our current AI conversations; say goodbye to your humanity if you want to win big. And maybe the movie is against it, I think I just don’t like watching people do that.
