Rewatched this the other night with Ruby, as we're going through twin peaks.

It's definitely lost some of its glamour for me, but it's still a really good movie that adds to the Twin Peaks universe in a cool way. The scene where Donna and Laura are 'out partying' is so well done, and so was the David Bowie scene. The editor really had fun with this movie and it shows.

Also, the sound mixing is amazing. A lot of…

Favorite Perkins movie so far, probably behind Blackcoat's daughter (i really didn't care for Longlegs).

Really good mixture of humour, horror, and food for thought. Most of the action is in the gore and the associated visual gags, but there's also a thread about toxic masculinity, trauma, and fatherhood, which was inserted into the movie in a way that wasn't heavyhanded (though it wasn't hidden).

I laughed so many times. It's a really, really funny movie. I had a great time watching it.

But really I'm only talking about 3-4 shots, and that's with my reading-into-their-purpose. Formally, this film is quite boring. The story was also…

0 stars if I could. Needed something to do since Melissa's brother was having a birthday party, so we needed to be out of the house. First time in recent memory where I checked my phone multiple times

My past as a film studies students allowed me to stay without walking out, though, which I'm proud of since it demonstrates my patience. Maybe. lol
