Cromwell 1970
Fine I'll watch Cromwell again, fine if I have to. Cinematography in this is so good, good perspective and lots of really deep sets with a lot going on in the background, kind of reminds me of A Matter of Life and Death in that way.
(And obligatory mention of the fact that Ridley Scott could never)

"Put your faith in God and keep your powder dry"
Putting the slightly dubious portrayal of Oliver Cromwell aside, the absolute best part of this film is its use of colour. Certain directors (R*dley Sc*tt) need to be forced to watch this movie like that scene in A Clockwork Orange. Just because it takes place before 1950 it doesn't mean that everything has to be grey.
