The “gifted musician gets too big for his boots and does something that pisses people off but is actually innovative and groundbreaking” happens in every music biopic and Dylan’s electric arc didn’t feel compelling or earned but everyone in this was so talented and they actually sang and played the instruments very well and I have a soft spot for folk music so I enjoyed this a lot anyway. My jaw dropped when Timmy opened his mouth and he actually managed to talk like that for the whole film and I really liked how he brought out the melodicism in Dylan’s songs
