i went into this movie hearing about bad reviews but ignoring them to get a fresh perspective. i’m so glad i did because i really loved this! it was weird and nothing groundbreaking but i had a really great time with the creepiness, the visuals, and the music itself! Ayo was a treasure as always and i would definitely steal most of her wardrobe from this movie. i love the idea of a musical cult of personality and this was a fun showcase of it

this was a weird one but i had fun the whole time! mark ruffalo and toni collette might have been my favorite part. my biggest gripe is that there’s zero explanation for why Mickey 18 has such a different personality from Mickey 17. same for all the quickly mentioned previous Mickeys with personality glitches. regardless, i giggled and i want a creeper :-)

this honestly could’ve been 90 minutes and the “pay off” is pretty lame. no way this should win any awards but the academy is historically dumb.
editing to add. i feel like this movie was 100 hours long and yet didn’t flesh out ani’s character enough for me to believe that SHE fell for that relationship. she was set up to be “street smart” but got invested in that relationship? all of a sudden? they don’t give enough of ani’s…
