Rope 1948
I find it absolutely incredible how the film builds such tension and suspense while being shot in just one room. It had me on edge the entire time. My hands were sweating, and I swear I was about to throw up when Rupert returned after the party. And the camera work? Absolutely stunning!!
Oh and of course, every party needs an astrology freak to predict your crappy future.

The Great Beauty 2013
Maybe I set my expectations too high for this Sorrentino experience, but it felt longer than needed. Still, the idea of a lost soul searching for meaning while drifting through Rome’s rich and superficial society is very catching. However, in the pursuit of visually stunning shots, the story itself felt repetitive for me, as if it kept repainting the same picture rather than truly progressing. Still, great shots and colour choices.

Schindler's List 1993
This is more than a movie. It is a lesson and a reminder to all of us. It’s terrifying how much hatred and cruelty this world is capable of. Also, I am red and swollen and can’t feel my face. All worth it.
