A significant step down from Invisible Man but still has something to offer of its own. The scenes where we can see how the couple can no longer understand each other are interesting and Abbott gives a good performance.

Hey, I have an idea. Let’s remake a 2 yr old movie that is already 80% in English and is famous for its horribly depressing ending. BUT let’s make it in the exact same language and give it the most mediocre, generic and stereotypical Hollywood ending that we could think of with 0% of the bite of the original movie. The actors did a great job and that’s the only reason this gets 2 stars. I regret using one of my 3 A-List weekly passes on this. Blumhouse? More like Mickey Mouse

An odd story concept executed exceptionally well. Every performance feels authentic and attention-grabbing without being over the top. I love how everything in this feels grounded and plausible except the relationship between Colm and Padraic, which feels almost comically exaggerated and heightened.
