one of my dad’s favorite movies
at first i was like… a movie about colonized africa… focusing on white people… this is gonna suck
but then i was pleasantly surprised by some of the questions it raised and how hot denys was, even if he was avoidant masked as “free”
this could’ve been much more succinct to help make the focus clearer and make the end more emotive rather than a lengthy chapter book feel, but it was interesting
