  Gonna have to rewatch honestly there’s a lot of interesting choices here especially for this type of romantic fantasy film and it’s beautifully shot and acted. I liked it I cried at a lot of scenes. The thought of dead parents and family and loneliness have been weighing on me heavy lately.

  I think I felt a lot of the same fears that Kaufman was expressing with this one. The animation was brilliant. The atmosphere and the ideas are either a lot more clear than his usual or maybe I’m just relating more either way this one feels a lot less self indulgent not that it’s a bad thing.
