The direction, cinematography, and acting were visceral and breathtaking!

While I wish the series' fragmented nature hadn’t obscured the larger throughline of the manosphere, Andrew Tate, incels, etc., and we could have had more depthful/direct commentary about the developmental degradation of young boys in our internet age, I understand that that’s simply not the primary intention of this series.

We are placed in the position of an outsider/adult, and this is uncomfortable when you are already somewhat involved in manosphere…

At every turn I was seated 🪑!! This movie could only be engendered by a French hottie (who I  want to share a glass of wine with)

I was worried that the pop culture figure Timmy was going to rip me out of the story but he perfectly embodies Bobs defiant genius and lack of emotional tact (like a child). There is something interpersonally stunting about Bobs sensory processing (yet you are still caught wondering whether this is weaponized incompetence).

This movie understands that even trying to capture Bob still creates another illusion that he is happy to play into for the sake of the audience discovering something about ourselves. Bob revealed a flash of earnestness when he called himself God.
