  I don’t…. entirely know how I feel? Like, definitely way too many awkward sex scenes in the first half. I understand the point being made, but good grief Yorgos, there were so many.
  On the other hand, watching Mark Ruffalo devolve from asshole into a pathetic and absolutely unhinged Victorian man was immensely entertaining, and I WAS cackling the entire time. It’s uncomfortable, and dark, but also zany and brilliant in ways that catch you off-guard. Plus, a standing ovation just for the incredible costumes, because that’s my own personal weakness.
