Undoubtedly a masterpiece of quiet study. I'm not sure I've seen a movie that makes better use of its time to develop a character that's as complex and understated as Ceylan did with his protagonist.
It's a slog, and probably a few scenes could have been edited down, but like Malick and his philosophies, Ceylan requires you to sit with him to realize his characters.
