Bursting at the seams with energy, wall-to-wall bangers, and terrific star turns by both Zellweger and Zeta-Jones. I was especially struck by how well the movie and Zellweger are able to make Roxie both completely despicable and likeable throughout. It really captures the innate female rage well. Not much else to add, this is terrific and so fun.

Wickedly funny! It's basically a Final Destination film, so it was appropriate to be preceded by a trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines (which also looks pretty good!). Perkins pulls a great trickeroo with the VO, and really shows his ability to make a comedy and show his range on the heels of the much-different vibe of Longlegs.

This was fine! It definitely evokes a feeling of nostalgia for another time, and there's an palpable energy to it. But it's also a vibes movie, and a bit of a coming-of-age movie, and I'm just not really into those. Scene to scene it kept my attention, but I could have walked away from this movie halfway through and not cared to have finished it. I didn't really care about the characters.
