Bursting at the seams with energy, wall-to-wall bangers, and terrific star turns by both Zellweger and Zeta-Jones. I was especially struck by how well the movie and Zellweger are able to make Roxie both completely despicable and likeable throughout. It really captures the innate female rage well. Not much else to add, this is terrific and so fun.

It is what it is; the word of the Lord

Wickedly funny! It's basically a Final Destination film, so it was appropriate to be preceded by a trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines (which also looks pretty good!). Perkins pulls a great trickeroo with the VO, and really shows his ability to make a comedy and show his range on the heels of the much-different vibe of Longlegs.

The horror comedy blend is great! The first funeral scene is such a…

Ii was quite taken initially by the dedication this film has to evoke a very specific styling and mood, but ultimately I felt like that caused it to seriously drag in its pacing. Maybe 50 years ago we'd need scenes to be this methodically slow, but by the end you can skip every other 10 seconds and you get what's going on. I thought the lead actor was good for the role, and it all looks authentic to the time…

The robots look cool! You don't really care about anything that happens in it, major miss there, but it's astonishing how many big actors are in this.

While enduring the many long, dull scenes, I began to think up how this film could possibly end in an interesting way. Will she spiral into psychosis and supernatural body horror? Is this a Weeb Who Cried Wolf situation where she is faking it at first, but then it becomes real? Is the challenge a prank to trick autistic people into outing themselves by trying to save a World's Fair "victim"? Is this a Synecdoche, New York-esque version of seeing…

Low-brow torture porn. I'm a horror fan who can handle a lot when it comes to violence and gore, but I turned this off after the RV invasion because the rape and violence against women is utterly tasteless and vile. It isn't entertainment to me, and I think horror shouldn't lower itself to this, it can be so much more. Everything else about this is mediocre. Get outta here with this trash.
