  Wasn't expecting this to be so bleak. Good lord this thing is depressing. I can't even imagine the influence this must've had on the horror genre. Good movie.

  Slow burn mystery, classic who style. The episode takes its time to set up all the moving parts with nothing but the incredible dialogue and chemistry to carry it, which it absolutely does here. The clones of the Doctor and Donna are wonderfully creepy and well acted, and the iffy cgi kinda works in its favour to make it almost uncanny valley and increase the uneasiness. For most, last week was their "doctor who is back!" moment, and that's great. For me, that was this week. This is the writer of Midnight and Parting of the Ways back, that's for sure.

  Direction and editing still need a lot of work, and it's oddly paced and quite unfocused. Ncuti and Millie are instantly enjoyable though, and the character writing in general is very good. Not really itching to watch it again personally but it was decent christmas viewing. It just has too many little issues.
